Forty golfers from the Brize Norton Golf Society raised a fantastic sum for the school during the inaugural Springfield Cup!
Sgt Glen Roberts and Neil Rudge joined a Springfield assembly to present a cheque. A huge thank you to all who played and contributed, particularly to Glen for his hard work towards the event.

Sam's class have a great adventure whilst on residential!
Thu, 19 Mar 2015
Last week (9th to 13th March) Sam's class headed off for a very BIG adventure down at Yenworthy in beautiful North Devon. Residential trips allow pupils to experience new ideas and opportunities and help them to feel empowered and capable of acheiving more and acting differently on their return to normal school life.
Amongst the activites the class got to have a go at rock climbing and coasteering.
They also ventured out on canoes, went swimming, explored the beach looking for sea creatures to hold, made fire and ate marshmallows!
What a fab time - now to zip wire back to class for a rest!
Runner's first ever half marathon raises money for Springfield School
Wed, 18 Mar 2015
Friend to Springfield School and relatively new runner, Jo Cook, is taking part in the Vitality Reading Half marathon this Sunday (22nd March) to raise money for the school. Jo popped in to see the students at the secondary site yesterday and garner a bit of last minute motivation. Jo said; 'It's such a lovely place and the kids were having such a great time. My training is going well, I will be pounding the streets of Witney later, the last run before Sunday. Any support people can give is fantastic and really helps boost my confidence for the race. It's my first ever half marathon and I'm pretty nervous!'. If you would like to sponsor Jo, click here to link to her Just Giving page.

While at the Propeller Project the pupils work with students from Abingdon and Witney College in creating high quality craftware and in horticulture.
Both sales raised over £120 each. Congratulations to all involved.
'Get Sweaty' for Springfield School

A bunch of crazy, lovely people have signed up to take part in the 10K Monster Race at Cornbury Park on 18th April this year.
The team of 15, made up of staff from school, employees at Aurora Fashions and Aston & James Office Supplies are going to be taking part to raise much needed funds for Springfield School. The 10k course features lots and lots (and lots) of woodland, undulating countryside, mud and water. Not to mention the Monster's obstacles, just to make it a little more challenging!
If you would like to sponsor them (and they'd really appreciate it because this is a tough race!), please click on the Just Giving link
If you are thinking of taking part in a sporting event or activitiy this year why not do it in aid of Springfield School? Donations we receive go to buying valuable equipment and experiences for pupils. Contact Lisa Benson at the school if you would like to discuss. Click here to watch our motivational video!
